Carvin Jone’s Chili Cook Off Rules

Saturday, August 22nd | 12:30pm

Items for each Entrant to Bring

1. $20 donation

2. Crockpot Full of Chili- Approx 2 gallons Any type of Chili, Beans, Meat etc.  Any Homemade Chili

3. Spoon or Ladle to Serve Chili

4. Please tell us how many ingredients you used at Registration. (Game & Prize involved)

Optional Items to Bring

You can bring onions and cheese to accent your chili

You can bring cornbread- We will have 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners for Cornbread.

We will provide each entrant with a jar- you can ask for donation for cornbread

Decoration Prizes
Each person or entrant is encouraged to decorate their space-( around your crockpot) and on the table in front- to reflect their team name or theme.

This is Optional.  Prizes will be awarded for best decor.

Set up is at 12:30p in the dancehall

Chili Cook off Tasting begins at 1pm

We will provide tables, bowls and spoons for tasting.  

Each Contestant or team will be given a number at time of registration.

Any contestant that makes atomic hot Chili must label and be willing to taste their own Chili.

TASTING RULES

$5.00 to taste- This donation will allow you to roll the dice.  That is how many tasting cups you receive.  You can roll the dice additional times for another $5 donation each time.

The first ten People to roll box cars (Double 6’s) will automatically become a Panel Judge

The Judges will Taste ALL chili entrants for the People's Choice Award.

If you want to taste your favorite chili again- each booth will have a jar- you can give a  donation at the booth

People's Choice Award for Chili, Cornbread & Decor

1st, 2nd and 3rd Prize

Tabulation at 3pm.  Winners will be announced at 3:30pm

All donations and money raised will go directly to Carvin Jones.  Local Resident that needs our help.
